My Simplified View On Art

What is art? Honestly, there isn't any clear definition in my opinion. If it makes you feel something, or think about something in a different way, I think that should be considered art. Whether it be a song, a painting, a movie, whatever the artist may use as an outlet, you should respect their decision to create it. It obviously means something to them, so you shouldn't tell them how horrible it is especially if you simply don't understand it. Even if they didn't make the piece, you should be kind when someone shares art with you that they enjoy. Keep your mind open. It just might change your mind on something, make you think of a past memory, or even make you think about something you never thought about before. Art can be a very powerful thing, no matter who you are. I believe that art can change lives in a way. It can be inspiring and profound. It also might just be something to make you feel good, not anything too deep. I like both kinds. Anyone can create art, and anyone can appreciate it. You can find art in almost anything.
